Thursday Bookish Update

Every Thursday from now on I would like to try a Bookish update post talking about  books I am reading each week, any new books and challenge updates.

Currently Reading

starst  Nerdy astronomy geek Marsha, M to her few friends, has never been anybody special. Orphaned as an infant and reluctantly raised by an overly-strict “aunt,” she’s not even sure who she is. M’s dream of someday escaping tiny Jewel, Indiana and making her mark in the world seems impossibly distant until hot new quarterback Rigel inexplicably befriends her. As Rigel turns his back on fawning cheerleaders to spend time with M, strange things start to happen: her acne clears up, her eyesight improves to the point she can ditch her thick glasses, and when they touch, sparks fly—literally! When M digs for a reason, she discovers deep secrets that will change her formerly humdrum life forever . . . and expose her to perils she never dreamed of. Yes, the middle of nowhere just got a lot more interesting!

I’m about half way through reading this book and find it an enjoyable read, so much so I have already recommended it to someone. Can’t wait to keep reading!

greek mths#Tales of Greek mythology have entertained countless generations of young readers with their accounts of brave heroes and heroines and the marvels and monsters that they encounter. This edition of Greek Myths: A Wonder Book for Girls and Boys features six classic tales written especially for children by Nathaniel Hawthorne. It includes the legends of Pandora and the Box of Troubles, King Midas and the Golden Touch, Perseus and the Medusa, Philemon and Baucis, Bellerophon and Pegasus, and the labors of Hercules, all illustrated magnificently in color by Walter Crane. (as seen on BarnesandNobles.com)

Reading this as part of the 2015 Popsugar Reading Challenge.  Every once in a while I like to read stories and books that are outside my usual reading habits and I have a particular love for Greek Myths so I am really enjoying this relaxing read.

New Books

Kayleigh @ Miserable & Magical kindly let me borrow some of her prized collection of John Green books. I say prized because John Green is her one of her all time favourite authors and I’m honored she let me near her books 🙂 So I have 3 of John Green’s books/collaborations to read: An Abundance of Katherine’s, Let it Snow and Will Grayson, Will Grayson. And then I will have officially read all of this amazing authors published books!
